Meet Melissa Steele
My goal is to help the youth of Jacksonville and surrounding areas to love the water and become water safe. Drowning is the leading cause of death for children ages 1-4 and the second leading cause of unintentional death of children ages 1-14. And it is completely preventable! I offer affordable swim lessons to help you and you child become water safe, improve swimming technique and advance coaching for elite athletes.
Melissa Steele is a native to Jacksonville, FL. Being in the water was her second home. Born to two former swimmers and swim coaches, she has been in the competitive swim community since 1996.
Melissa began her swimming career in the River City Swim League and eventually went on to swim on the world renown Bolles Sharks club team from 1996-2008. In 2008, Melissa began her freshman year at the University of Louisville, where she was a member of the Cardinals swimming and diving team. Rounding out her competitive career in 2012, Melissa ranked Top-6 in three events, the 500 Free, 200 Fly and 1650 Free.
Melissa has been actively involved in teaching and coaching since 2006.

PRIVATE LESSONS

$40/half hour
$75/hr
+ $5 travel fee for Duval County
+ $10 travel fee for St. John's County
Now serving the Bolles Swimming Community
$50/Half hour*
*Must be registered through the swim office and your account will be billed*
GROUP LESSONS
3-5 Swimmers per Group
$15/child for 3 children, $12/child for 4 children, $10/child for 5 children
Minimum: 3 children
Maximum: 5 children
Parents are responsible for making and scheduling group lessons.
